Azizo Lavender
In the center of the Golan Heights, at Moshav Kanaf, sits the Azizo Farm. Azizo is a lavender farm for lovers of lavender and other natural scents. At the farm, you will tour the purple beds of lavender, pick and smell various lavender plants and enjoy a relaxing time. After a short tour of the flower beds, you will see the machines that produce the oil; then you will go into the "secret room". This is where they dry the lavender plants, and you will enjoy an abundance of the finest scents. After touring, it is possible to sit for a cup of tea and homemade cookies (do not miss the ice cream!), all made from lavender. Of course, there is a shop for souvenirs, such as soaps and other products from the farm.

All is Honey – “Hakol Dvash”
A wonderful place to visit in the Upper Galilee, in the moshava of Yesud HaMa’ala (a “moshava” is a form of agricultural Jewish town). Hakol Dvash is a factory that produces different types of honey. It feels welcoming! When you get there, you will tour the place and learn about the entire process of producing honey. Afterward, you will have the opportunity to taste different types of honey made from wildflowers, eucalyptus, and other blossoms. There are cosmetics and homemade remedies available in another section too, all made with honey. I recommend honey from the flowers of the eucalyptus and from the flowers of the avocado. In short, everything is delicious!

Ha'arbel overlook
When you reach the Tiberias area, I recommend you drive to Ha'Arbel overlook in the national park. From the lookout, you will bear witness to an amazing view. The Sea of Galilee spreads out in front of you, and you can clearly see the size of the lowest fresh water lake in the world. Ahead of you lies the beginning of the Golan Heights. As you look around the Kinneret, your eyes can clearly see all the surrounding kibbutzim that were built before the establishment of Israel. This spot gives you the opportunity to look at different geographic boundaries in Israel while having a picnic (great place for that) or a coffee/tea break.

Isfiya
Isfiya is a Druze-majority village in northern Israel. It also includes Christians, Muslims, and a few Jewish households. Located on Mount Carmel, it is part of the Haifa District. The Druze ethnic group, which departed from Islam in the 11th century, has a population of approximately 150,000 living in Israel, most of whom are located in the mountainous northern region. The Druze are an integral part of Israeli society and proudly serve in the Israeli army. A short tour in this village leads you to many authentic shops where you will find homemade soaps made from olives and fresh olive oil available as local souvenirs. Of course, one cannot end the visit without experiencing authentic Druze hospitality, complete with excellent food that is full of unique flavors. After the meal, it is always recommended to have coffee or tea with the locals so you can gain a better understanding of the Druze people and their world.

Visiting the Gaza Envelope
The Gaza Envelope is one of Israel’s most meaningful regions—a place that embodies resilience, perseverance, and a deep love of the land. For years, the region has attracted visitors with its inspiring Zionist history, flourishing agriculture, artisan cheeses, boutique wineries, and welcoming rural communities. Since the attacks of October 7, 2023, visiting the Gaza Envelope has taken on even greater significance. The region holds stories of unimaginable loss, but also extraordinary courage, strength, and resilience. During my group and private tours, we visit Sderot and communities in the Gaza Envelope to stand in solidarity with local residents and gain a deeper understanding of the region’s security challenges. We may visit important memorial sites, including the Nova Music Festival site and the Burnt Cars Memorial near Tkuma, while hearing the stories of the young people, first responders, soldiers, and local residents who showed remarkable bravery that day. Although this is an emotional and challenging experience, we also make time to visit a local business or tourism site. Supporting the people who live and work in this region is a meaningful part of helping these communities recover and rebuild.

Naot Farm
In the 1990s, several families began to make their way to the Negev to start a new way of life on individual farms. Unlike the common practice of communal farming, every one of these families had an agricultural dream of starting their own farm, which was possible in the desert of southern Israel. I enjoy taking groups with me to these local farms, particularly to Naot Farm—on each visit, we can tour the farm, visit the goat pens and even pet the goats. During these visits, we are able to learn how the farmers milk the goats and, at the end, it is always a pleasure to sit and drink coffee while tasting the local cheeses made from this milk. A truly authentic experience!

Coral Beach
Coral Beach in Eilat is perfect for people who love the water and the natural world!
